Synchronised Sailing
After dressing for the usual chilly 6AM temperatures I was surprised that it wasn’t that brisk. Knowing that the Jazzman and the flags on the Jazzman were still at the Spit for repairs (the boat, not the flags!), I got down early to make sure we had flags and the hooter ready to go for on time starts on the Paul Adam.Once there it became apparent that the predicted north westerly was decreasing. On the water we found a 2-knot north westerly the top end of the course and at the bottom end an even weaker southerly. We remained mildly optimistic as we watched the wind drop to nil. After an hour or so of bobbing around and chatting on
