Race Report 27 November 2021

The forecasted 30 knot southerly abated to permit racing in a lively 23 knots gusting to 31. It was a tough day at the office for sailors and the race committee, with the first warning signal delayed by 15 minutes and 2 races abandoned in conditions where nobody seemed to be looking for extra laps.The on water racing was managed by Nick Alexander (PRO) and Diana Chen (LTRAR) with on water assistance from Jim Dounis (COTD), Peter Collie, Julian van Aalst and John Vasey. Off the water volunteers were Steve London (CSO) with Kerryn Smith and Julian assisting Paul and Shirley in the Canteen before racing, while Andrew Cox assisted with the post BBQ clean up.The races were heats 3 and 4 of the Club Championship series.
