James Tudball reports:DBSC is heating up with youth sailing this winter!Our Reach Youth Committee is excited to be launching an 8 week youth coaching program over winter. The program framework is being provided by Josh Becker (who joined DBSC in January) in conjunction with our DBSC Reach Youth Coaches. It consists of 4 weekends sailing out on Double Bay, working toward and attending the June long weekend 2023 East Coast Youth Championships at GRSC, then 3 weekends after the regatta to fine tune skills. We thank Josh and our youth coaches for their passion and efforts to get this winter program launched, and to be firing up our youth sailing more broadly at the club. We’d also like to thank our commodore for his enthusiastic support to get this activated, which has been pivotal.
